A hydrograph for a basin of 165.5 km2 was obtained based on the rainfall and streamflow data as tabulated below.

- Obtain a Unit Hydrograph for a basin above. Use the horizontal straight-line method to separate baseflow.
- Determine the volume of losses.
- Compute the φ-index equal to the ratio of the volume of losses to the rainfall duration.
- Predict the total streamflow hydrograph that would be observed due to a storm whose effective rainfall as tabulated below. Use the same value of baseflow. Use superposition and proportionality principles.
- Plot the unit hydrograph and the predicted streamflow hydrograph.
- Based on item (i), assume it is a 1-hour UH, and derive the ordinates of a 2-hour unit hydrograph for the same basin using a method of superposition.
