• Select an article from an academic journal in economics. The article must focus on a topic in Managerial Economics.
• Ensure the article is written in English.
• Suggested journals include, but are not limited to, Jurnal Ekonomi Malaysia (JEM), International Journal of Economics and Management (IJEM), Journal of Business Economics, and Managerial and Decision Economics.
2. Content of the Assignment: (100 Marks)
• Your assignment should be organised into the following sections:
a) Introduction: Briefly introduce the article, including its title, author(s), and the main theme.
b) Summary: Provide a concise summary of the article, outlining the key points, arguments, and conclusions.
c) Analysis of Findings: Discuss any new insights, theories, or models presented in the article. Evaluate the validity and relevance of these findings in the context of Managerial Economics.
d) Policy Implications: Analyse the potential implications of the article’s findings on economic policies or managerial decision-making.
e) Critical Evaluation: Offer your own perspective on the article. This may include critique of the methodology, assumptions, conclusions, or contributions to the field.
f) Conclusion: Summarise your overall evaluation of the article.
g) References: List all sources cited in your critique using APA 7th Edition format.
3. Formatting and Length:
• Your assignment should be a maximum of 6 pages, excluding references.
• Use Arial font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
• Align text to “Justify” for all paragraphs.
• Word count should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words, not including references.
• Submit your assignment in a compatible format (e.g., PDF or Word document) by the specified deadline.
• Include your name, student ID, lecturer name and Semester.
4. Evaluation Criteria:
• Your critique will be assessed based on the depth of analysis, clarity of arguments, relevance to Managerial Economics, adherence to the provided structure, and proper use of the APA citation style.
